Professional Resources

The Stroke Center team, at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, understands that the key to our success is based on our partnership with hospitals and health professionals across the state. Therefore, we have provided quick access to key resources for your convenience.

Transfers and Referrals
The Michigan Stroke Network is open 24-hours daily to coordinate the transfer of your patients. The center provides centralized services to help you gain quick access to our physicians and other members of our medical team. This specially trained team evaluates the clinical needs of each patient to ensure that the appropriate and highest quality medical care is provided. The center also coordinates transport.

The Michigan Stroke Network has a single phone number that will be the gateway for all inpatient services provided. The toll-free number makes it easier for physicians throughout the state to refer, transport and admit patients to the Michigan Stroke Network.
